Men's Cross Country Takes Home 15th Consecutive Centennial Championship

10/27/07 - Haverford's Don Letts, Ian Ramsey-North, Anders Hulleberg and Andrew Lanham place 1-2-3-4, respectively.
LANCASTER, PA - Seniors Don Letts and Ian Ramsey-North placed first and second, respectively, crossing the finish line together in 25:50, to lead the Haverford men's cross country team to its 15th-consecutive Centennial Conference Championship Saturday afternoon. Freshman Anders Hulleberg and sophomore Andrew Lanham finished right behind their senior teammates in places three and four. Hulleberg completed the 8km race in 25:54, while Lanham finished in 25:58. The 2007 sweep of the top four places marks the first time Haverford has taken places 1-2-3-4 at the Centennial championship.
Letts' time, equaled by Ramsey-North, is the fourth-fastest winning time ever at the Centennial championship.
Letts and Ramsey-North became the 11th and 12th runners in conference cross country history to earn First Team All-Centennial honors three times.
Lanham earned First Team All-Centennial status for the second consecutive season with his fourth place finish on Saturday. He placed third overall (26:36) in 2006 as a freshman.
The third-place effort by Hulleberg tied Karl Paranya (1994) and Lanham (2006) for the highest conference finish by a Fords frosh since Mike Sheely won the MAC race in 1978.
Earning Second Team All-CC honors from Haverford were sophomore Ben Frisbee, senior Jamie Jablin and freshman Elias Tousley. Frisbee placed 11th in 26:40, while Jablin also finished in 26:40 to earn 12th place. Tousley followed in 13th place in 26:45.
The top-seven runners in the race earn First Team All-CC honors, while the next seven earn Second Team honors.
Senior Michael Jablin narrowly missed Second Team All-CC, placing 15th in 26:50.
Haverford will compete at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional on November 10 at Lehigh.
