We’re proud to announce that Philip Pires, class of 2005, was recently named an Associate at the Cohen & Wolf law firm in Bridgeport, Connecticut. After graduating with a BA in psychology from Haverford College, Phil went on to receive his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut in 2008. While in law school, he served as executive editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal, was a member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board, and subsequently received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Constitutional Law.
As an intern with the University of Connecticut School of Law Asylum and Human Rights Clinic, Phil represented an individual seeking political asylum in the U.S. and was responsible for all aspects of the asylum process. We’re very proud of his accomplishments and wish him the best for the future.
