Photo Gallery: Koshlands Name Humanities Center Directorship
On October 1st, Haverford welcomed Cathy '72 and Jim '73 Koshland to campus to thank them for generously endowing the Directorship of the John B. Hurford '60 Humanities Center. Endowing this position, currently held by Israel Burshatin, helps to ensure that the Humanities Center will continue to enhance intellectual and cultural life at Haverford well into the future.
Parker Snowe '79 (right), Executive Director of the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship, enjoys the reception with Koshland Director Israel Burshatin. Earlier, Burshatin said about the Humanities Center, "We not only have great support for faculty endeavors, but we also enable students to achieve things in a self-directed way, which is very much the Haverford way."
