Photo Gallery: Koshlands Name Humanities Center Directorship
On October 1st, Haverford welcomed Cathy '72 and Jim '73 Koshland to campus to thank them for generously endowing the Directorship of the John B. Hurford '60 Humanities Center. Endowing this position, currently held by Israel Burshatin, helps to ensure that the Humanities Center will continue to enhance intellectual and cultural life at Haverford well into the future.
Cathy Koshland '72, Chair of the Haverford Board of Managers, remarked, "The humanities are central to deepening both our understanding and experience of our lives and our culture. We wanted to support the directorship of the Humanities Center because that position is an essential part of its continuing vitality."
