Students from Professor Iruka Okeke's Biology 124 course are presenting their work in the KINSC Link. Our news team visited the opening reception to learn about the students' study of infectious disease scientists working in developing countries. Eleven of these students have written or co-written biographies of these scientists, which have been published in the Journal of Infection in Developing Countries as part of a special feature on science in resource-poor regions. The journal--and the students' work--commemorates a Global Theme Issue Initiative focused on poverty and human development, in which 233 scientific journals are participating.
