2012-13 Season

The Department of Music presents Music and Conversation Matthew Bengtson, piano, and Blanka Bednarz, violin, performing music by Karol Szymanowski.

On Saturday, November 3rd at 8:30 p.m., the Bryn Mawr Parents' Weekend Concert will be held in Thomas Great Hall featuring the Bi-College Orchestra, Chamber Singers, and many a cappella groups. This concert is free and open to the public.

On Sunday, November 11, the Momenta String Quartet will perform music by Haydn, Debussy, Jacob and Arauco. This concert will be held in Roberts Hall, Marshall Auditorium and is free and open to the public.

On Friday, November 16 at 8 PM, the Haverford-Bryn Mawr Orchestra, under the direction of Heidi Jacob, will perform their Fall Concert in Roberts Hall, Marshall Auditorium. This concert is free and open to the public.

The Guest Artist Series presents Alexander Dobson, baritone, and Curt Cacioppo, piano, performing "Winterreise" by Schubert, in Roberts Hall, Marshall Auditorium. Ticket prices are $15 (Gen); $12 (Sr); $8 (Stu); $5 (7-17). Bi-co free.

The Haverford-Bryn Mawr College Chorale and Chorale Orchestra, directed by Thomas Lloyd, will perform their fall concert in Roberts Hall, Marshall Auditorium.

The first of three student chamber music concerts, directed by Heidi Jacob, will be performed at Bryn Mawr College in the Goodhart Music Room. This event is free and open to the public.

The Chamber Singers of Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges will perform their Annual Holiday Concert in Founders Great Hall.

"Bonhoeffer", a new choral-theater work by Thomas Lloyd, will be performed by The Crossing, directed by Donald Nally, with solo dancers Tim Early and Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch.

On Wednesday, April 10 at 5 PM, Ben Safran will give his senior thesis presentation on his String Quartet No. 2. This event will be held in MacCrate Recital Hall, Union, and is free and open to the public.

On Wednesday, May 1 at 8:00 p.m., the students from Thomas Lloyd's Art Song class will perform their class recital in MacCrate Recital Hall, Union. This concert is free and open to the public.

On Thursday, May 2 at 4:45 p.m., the Chamber Singers of Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges, directed by Thomas Lloyd, will perform an informal concert in the KINSC Rotunda. This concert is free and open to the public - all are welcome!
