Mathematics and Statistics at Haverford is a vibrant, friendly community, supporting students with a wide range of interests and backgrounds. Our curriculum encourages students to "think mathematically", and to participate in the exciting process of creating mathematics both in traditional core areas and at the frontiers of other disciplines.

With Bryn Mawr we host the Bicollege Colloquium, which brings in speakers from around the country to talk about their research interests.More about the Math Colloquium

A senior paper is written by each major, in close coordination with a faculty member. Students take turns presenting portions of their senior papers to each other, to develop their skills in constructing and giving oral presentations.More about the Senior Research Experience

The Math Question Center is an informal gathering place where students work in groups on math homework and get assistance when they need it. It is open five evenings each week, and is staffed by mathematics faculty and majors.More about the Math Question Center
