COURSE SCHEDULE

We'll meet in Stokes 121 on Fridays at 12:30 for one or one and a half hour, according to our needs.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to prepare you to present your senior paper, with an emphasis on the final oral presentation.

ASSIGNMENTS

There will be various assignments where you will be asked to present written work related to your senior paper or to prepare oral presentations of various kind. Some of the assignments will consist in presenting lecture plans, including board organization and relative explanations.
Assignments will be posted on the assignments homepage for this course, usually on Friday afternoons.

GRADES

Every grade you will receive in this course will be one of: 4.0, 3.7, 3.3, 3.0, 2.7, 2.3, 2.0, 1.7, 1.3, 1.0, 0.0. Your semester grade will be computed by weighting your work as follows:

Final senior paper oral presentation (at the senior seminar): 20%
Final senior paper oral presentation (your final presentation to the Math Faculty): 40%
Written work: 15 %
Oral presentations during the semester: 15%
Participation (including written and oral criticism of classmates work) and everything else: 10%
