The intensive version meets 6 hours each week, and is enrollment
limited to 19. It is designed for students who
think their precalculus background is weak, and would like extra review
in the process of learning calculus. Students should consult with the instructor
before enrolling in this section.
Prerequisites: A strong background in precalculus mathematics for the standard section; the intensive section can accomodate students with a weaker precalculus background.
Who should take this course? This course is intended for
students who want to learn to use calculus in the Natural or Social Sciences,
or anyone else wishing to see a thorough treatment of calculus.
Students interested only in satisfying an NA or Q requirement might also consider
other alternatives: for example, Math 103 or
Math 104.
