Abstract:
Legendrian knots and links are often studied by means of invariants. Classical Legendrian invariants can get one started in classifying knots and links, but they cannot do the job alone. A new polynomial invariant is defined for a specific type of Legendrian links made of two unknots, and the invariant is calculatd for several families of such links. The polynomial invariant can distinguish some links whose classical invariants are the same.
