How to Install ODE Architect
on your Windows computer
If you would like to install ODE Architect on a Windows based
computer connected to the Haverford College network, you should
follow the instructions below.
- Make sure you have at least 300 Mb of hard drive space
available for the program. If not, you will not be able to install
it.
- Go to the Start menu, choose Settings, and then
Control Panel. Open the Add/Remove Programs item.
- (Optional. It is generally safer to remove old versions before
installing new versions, but the KeyAccess install has so far
successfully overwritten the old version.) Click the
Install/Uninstall tab, and check to see if KeyAccess
is installed on your computer. If so, select it and click the
Add/Remove
button to remove it from your computer. If
is not already installed, go to the next step.
- Click the Network Install tab. Select Keyaccess
KeyServer client in the Standard Software section.
Click the Install button, and follow the instructions to
install the program. (You may choose not to reboot at the end of
the installation, but must reboot before using the software. You
will be prompted to reboot after installing ODE Architect anyway.)
- If necessary, re-open the Add/Remove Programs item from
Control Panel, and click the Network Install tab.
Select ODE Architect (keyed) from the Academic
Software section. Click the Install button, and follow
the instructions to install the program. Since several "movies"
are being installed as well as the program, this will take some
time.
- Reboot the computer at the end of the installation process,
and the software should be ready to run.
