Label should read:
QUAKER
RARE BKS
- Mylar dust jacket.
- Acid-free plate, laid in -- if a special plate or
gift plate (non-acid-free) is needed, mount it on acid-free paper
and fold the paper so none of the surface of the plate is exposed;
also lay it in book. Plate may be affixed to box or pamphlet folder.
- Write call number in pencil on reverse of last blank
page (not end-paper).
- No target.
- No pocket.
- No spine label on book or mylar (see next instruction).
If book is boxed by bindery, okay to attach spine label to box.
- Acid-free flag with call number and barcode -- place
call number label (i.e. spine label) and barcode on opposite sides
of the flag (front and back), both at the top, so that they stick
out of the top edge of the book and do not touch the pages or covers.
Place completed book, with paperwork, in hands of Special
Collections staff.
