Processing of books in boxes should be decided on an
item-by-item basis in consultation with the Processing Supervisor
and the appropriate bibliographer.
These books are almost always non-circulating and need
to have this reflected in the item record.
For a non-circulating main library book in a phase box:
- Barcode -- on box (not book), inside the front cover
(left flap), at the top center.
- Plate -- just below barcode, at the same place it
would go inside a book's front cover.
- "Not to be taken..." target -- at bottom
of inside front cover of box.
- Spine label on phase box.
