We no longer produce shelflist cards for books going into
the general Quaker Collection. However, we do continue to produce cards
for books housed in Quaker Reference.
To produce a card on OCLC for Quaker Reference books:
- Log on to OCLC Connexion. Find the bib record (search
using OCLC # or ISBN).
- Insert call no. into 090.
Be sure there are spaces on either side of ‡b, i.e. BX7796.7.B65
‡b D44 1996.
- Change 049 HVCC to [REF.]HVCQ
for Quaker Ref.
- Delete all added entries and contents notes. It is not
necessary to have the extra notes appear on the shelflist cards for
our Quaker Reference Collection. The cataloger need only be sure that
the call number and descriptive cataloging are included.
- Click on Action drop down
menu. Select Produce and Update Holdings.
