Where To Look for Books "In Process"

If a book's status says "In Process" or "In Cat. Dept." and it has a call number and location, look in the following places, in this order:

Processing

• Regular new books
• Books going to bindery
• Special location shelves (if not Magill)
• Processing cart (books that have been labeled but not taken to Circ. yet)
• Shelf for "Special Collections books awaiting cards"

Cataloging

• Catalogers' desks and carts
• Shelves for "problems from Circ." or "needs new labels"

Bindery

• Books being worked on by Jim
• Completed book shelf

Circulation

• Stopover shelves from Processing (awaiting status change)

Places book shouldn't be, but worth checking:

Circulation

• Reshelving shelves
• Reshelving carts

New Book Shelf
