For over a decade Betsy has been Quaker Bibliographer, responsible for the more than 40,000 Quaker printed materials in the Haverford College Quaker Collection. • Dickson D. Bruce, Department of History, Univ of California-Irvine, Irvine, CA 92717.A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Department of American Civilization (Ph.D. 1971), Dave has taught courses in history and comparative culture at Irvine since 1971. • Susan Cole, Arch Street United Methodist Church Broad and Arch Streets Philadelphia, PA. 19107. A specialist in feminist spirituality, Sue has been pastoring urban congregations ince 1979. Publication: Wisdom's Feast: Sophia in Study and Celebration (1989); Sophia: the Future of Feminist Spirituality (1986).

• Yvonne Chireau, Department of Religion Swarthmore College Swarthmore, PA 19081.A graduate of Princeton University's Department of Religon (Ph.D 1994), Yvonne was a Fellow at the Indiana University Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture Young Scholars in Religion (1994). She teaches courses in African-American religions and has developed techniques for using the World Wide Web for teaching students about multiple expressions of religious belief. • Caroline Golab, Dean Chestnut Hill College Philadelphia, PA 19118. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Department of History, (Ph.D., 1971) Caroline has taught courses on urban history, city planning, and ethnicity at the University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, St. Joseph's University Swarthmore College and the University of Southern California. • James Gulick, Religion Bibliographer, Magill Library, Haverford College, Haverford, PA 19041. Since completing his MS in Library and Information at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, James has been bibliographer for religion, philosophy and fine arts at Haverford College.

• Thomas Hamm, Department of History Earlham Collage Richmond, IN. 47374. A graduate of Indiana University (Ph.D, 1985), Tom won the Brewer Prize of the American Society of Church History in 1988. • Carol Karlsen, Department of History, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. 48109. A graduate of Yale University (Ph.D, 1980) Carol has taught history and women's studies courses at Union College and Bard College before coming to the University of Michigan in 1988. • Randall M Miller, Department of History St. Joseph's University Philadelphia, PA. 19131.A graduate of Ohio State University (Ph.D., 1971), Randall has taught courses in urban history, ethnic and African-American history, at Ohio State, Wesley College, and the University of Pennsylvania. • Diana Franzusoff-Peterson, Special Collections, Magill Library, Haverford College, Haverford, PA 19041. With an MS in Information Studies (Drexel University, 1993) combined with earlier studies in Cultural Anthropology and Russian Area Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Maryland, Diana has spent more than a quarter-century as Manuscripts Cataloguer, overseeing some 300,000 manuscripts, graphics and College archives. • James Ransom, Department of English Haverford College, Haverford, PA 10041. After an undergraduate education at the University of New Mexico, and a Ph.D. at Yale University(1962), Jim has taught a wide range of courses in British and American literature and in American cultures, recently developing courses on the representation of Native Americans in Euroamerican culture, and in English-language writing by Native American authors. Upcoming publication: a book-length study of the development of the new Native American novel from 1968 to the present.

• Leigh Schmidt, Department of Religion Princeton University Princeton, NJ. 08544. A graduate of Princeton University (Ph.D., Religion, 1987) Leigh taught at Drew University before returning, in 1995, to be Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at Princeton.Publications: Consumer Rites: The Buying and Selling of American Holidays. • Jean Soderlund, Department of History Lehigh University Bethlehem, PA. 18015. A graduate of Temple University's Department of History, Jean has taught at the University of Maryland, and has served as curator of the Peace Collection at Swarthmore College. • Karin Wulf, Department of History American University Washington, DC. 20016. Since completing a Ph.D. in History at Johns Hopkins University (1993), Karin has taught courses on gender history and Anglo-American Colonial history at Old Dominion University and American University.
