Rare Books and Manuscripts

Non-Quaker rare and unique material is collected specifically with an eye to supporting the College curricula. Collection strengths include American and English literature, history, and politics, as well as reform movements, photography, natural history, and the sciences. The collection includes the papers of several families and individuals, approximately 4,000 rare books, as well as numerous historical maps and newspapers.
