Haverford’s fine art photography collection spans the history of photography and contains approximately 3,000 images created by more than 100 artists from daguerreotypes to digital images. Some of the outstanding fine art photographers represented in the collection are: Berenice Abbott, Ansel Adams, Diane Arbus, Eugene Atget, Edouard Boubat, John Bullock, Julia Margaret Cameron, Edward Curtis, Roy DeCarava, Harold Edgerton, Walker Evans, Lewis Hine, Andre Kertesz, Dorothea Lange, Jacques Lartigue, Lisette Model, August Sander, Eugene Smith, James Van DerZee and Carl Van Vechten.

Explore thousands of digitized objects from the artifact and fine art collections within Special Collections held at Bryn Maw, Haverford, and Swarthmore Colleges through the Art and Artifact Database. Students, faculty, and staff can browse featured collections, search using artists’ names, locations and media, or find which works are housed at each college.
