Philadelphia Restaurant Guide for RBMS 2010

The cheesesteak and the soft pretzel may be the icons of Philadelphia food, but the excellence and diversity of Philly’s food scene should not be underestimated. Between its strong ethnic influences and street vendors, the “restaurant renaissance” of the 70s and 80s, a growing interest in locally-grown food, and the new celebrity chefs of the current decade, Philly has something to offer every taste.

Included are restaurants of all types and price ranges, mostly concentrated in Center City within walking distance from the hotel, but also including some that are farther afield, and worth a short trip on public transportation or in a cab. Also, for those choosing to stay in the dorms at Drexel, there are many restaurants in the University City area.
