Color Printer/Copier/Scanner


This device provides color prints and copies for 50¢ per page. Scanning is provided free of charge. Assistance with this device is available at the Circulation Desk.

Haverford Users

You will credential to this device using your OneCard. Charges incurred for printing and copying will be billed by the Business Office at the end of the semester.

Bryn Mawr, Swarthmore, and alumni of Haverford

You will credential to this device using a card provided at the Circulation Desk. Charges incurred for printing and copying must be paid in cash upon completion of your transactions.




Printing


Haverford Users

    1. Select the Campus Color Public Labs printer from the available printers.
    2. After selecting the printer, a pop up box will appear.  Your Haverford email username (e.g. "bsquirrel") should be in the box.  If not, type it in the box, then click Next
    3. Another window will then appear with PUBLIC_PRINTING listed.  Click this code and press Print.  If the code doesn’t appear, enter an asterisk (*) then click search.
    4. Go to the printer and wave your OneCard near the rectangular reader on the front of the device.  You should hear a beep.  If you don't, seek help at the Circulation Desk.
    5. The device will display "Authenticating" before taking you to the menu.  You'll know you credentialed correctly if Sign Out is noted in the bottom right-hand side of the display panel.
    6. Press the Print Release option.  You'll see your print job and its cost displayed.  Click Print if you'd like to print the job, or Delete if you don’t wish to print the job.
    7. When you've completed your transaction, click the HOME icon in the top left corner of the display panel, then Sign Out.
    8. These charges will be billed to you by the Business Office at the end of the semester.

Bryn Mawr, Swarthmore, and alumni of Haverford

    1. Select the Campus Color Public Labs printer from the available printers.

    3. Another window will then appear with PUBLIC_PRINTING listed.  Click this code and press Print.  If the code doesn't appear, enter an asterisk (*) then click search.
    4. Go to the printer and wave the card you borrowed from the Circulation Desk near the rectangular reader on the front of the device.  You should hear a beep.  If you don't, seek help at the Circulation Desk.
    5. The device will display "Authenticating" before taking you to the menu.  You'll know you credentialed correctly if Sign Out is noted in the bottom right-hand side of the display panel.
    6. Press the Print Release option.  You'll see your print job and its cost displayed.  Click Print if you'd like to print the job, or Delete if you don't wish to print the job.
    7. When you've completed your transaction, click the HOME icon, in the top left corner of the display panel, then Sign Out.
    8. Return the card to the Circulation Desk and pay for your prints.



Copying

    3. Press the Copy option. 
    4. Place the sheet(s) you wish to copy on the glass or in the document feeder and press the green START button. 
    5. When you've completed your transaction, click the HOME icon in the top left corner of the display panel, then Sign Out.
    6. PLEASE NOTE: Although on-screen charges do not appear, you will be billed 50¢ per copy by the Business Office at the end of the semester.

Scanning


Haverford Users

    1. Wave your OneCard near the rectangular reader on the front of the device.  You should hear a beep.  If you don't, please seek help at the Circulation Desk.
    2. The device will display "Authenticating" before taking you to the menu.  You'll know you credentialed correctly if Sign Out is noted in the bottom right-hand side of the display panel.
    3. Press the E-mail option. 
    4. The TO and FROM should auto-populate with your name, which corresponds to your Haverford email account. You can add a subject and file name for your scan if you wish.
    5. If you have loose documents to scan, place them in the document feeder.  Push them in firmly, then click the green START button. 
    6. If what you wish to scan is not loose, open the cover and place the first page on the glass.  Click the green START button.  The system will respond with Scanning Job Build Segment.  You will be prompted to Finish or Scan.  If you have more pages to scan, place the next one on the glass, then click Scan.  When finished, click Finish.
    7. The system will prompt you to stay logged in or sign out. Click YES if you wish to continue scanning; NO if you wish to sign out of the device.
    8. If you don't see your scanned PDF in your inbox, check your spam folder.

    1. Wave the card you borrowed from the Circulation Desk near the rectangular reader on the front of the device.  You should hear a beep.  If you don't, please seek help at the Circulation Desk.
    2. The device will display "Authenticating" before taking you to the menu.  You'll know you credentialed correctly if Sign Out is noted in the bottom right-hand side of the display panel.
    3. Use the down arrow on the right side of the display to scroll to the Network Folder option. Click it.
    4. Click the Public Labs option on the left. This will populate the correct folder directory on the right side of the display.
    5. Click the bmc-sc default. Using the pop-up keypad, type a new filename for your scan.
    6. If what you wish to scan is not loose, open the cover and place the first page on the glass. Click the green START button. The system will respond with Scanning Job Build Segment. You will be prompted to Finish or Scan. If you have more pages to scan, place the next one on the glass, then click Scan. When finished, click Finish.
    7. The system will prompt you to stay logged in or sign out. Click YES if you wish to continue scanning; NO if you wish to sign out of the device.
    8. Log into a public computer. On the desktop double-click the Scan-to-Folder icon. You will see your scan. After you've printed, emailed, or saved it, please delete it from the folder.
    9. When you're finished, please return the card to the Circulation Desk.
