Magill Library has 148 student carrels and 30 faculty carrels that may be reserved for pairs of students or individual faculty. Any Haverford student or professor may apply for a carrel. Applications for carrels are available at Circulation Services or students may download and print an application (pdf).
Student carrels are assigned by lottery at the beginning of each fall semester for a period of one year. Faculty carrels are also assigned as needed, to be re-assigned or renewed each academic year.

Assistive Computing and Academic Support Carrel
Located on the 1st tier of Magill Library, this carrel is available for use by students with assistive computing and/or academic support needs. Its use requires a referral by the Office of Disability Services. A list of eligible and referred students will be kept at the Circulation Desk and updated each semester.
Access is by card key which is available at the Circulation Desk. As with other areas of this kind, the area must be vacated and the card key returned by 11:00 pm on Sundays through Thursdays and by 5:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
