初め:It has been five years since new technologies began being integrated into the Japanese program at Haverford College. We hold weekly classes at the Language Learning Center and the students have been involved in various inter-institutional collaborative projects wherecyberspace is being viewed as a space for interactionrather than for giving and receiving information, drilling and other language study activities.In the process, the largest challenge has been redefining my role and the students' role.I hope these pages will help stimulate discussions on changes that technologies can bring to classrooms.

Introduction:日本語の教室にハイテクが導入されて5年、毎週、ランゲージセンターで、授業を行い、学生たちは、サイバースペースを情報交換の場としてよりも交流の場として見、大学間協同プロジェクトなどに取組んだが、その間、当然ながら、さまざまな問題とチャレンジに出会った。そのうちで、最も大きかったのが、教師である自分の役割と、学生の役割の変化であろう。このページが、テクノロジーの教室にもたらす変化について、問題提議の一端ともなれば嬉しい。
