The International Student Services Office (ISSO)
The International Students Services Office (ISSO) was created to provide support to all international students during their academic studies at Haverford College. Furthermore, the Office ensures institutional compliance based on the rules and regulations established by the United States Immigration Services. The ISSO also provides the following services:
- Guidance before arrival at Haverford
- Orientation upon arrival on campus
- Resources to assist in adjusting to the U.S.A. culture
- Information on the policies and procedures of the College
- Guidance in seeking employment (on and off-campus)
- Access to campus and community resources
- Programs and internships developed in collaboration with the Office of Multicultural Affairs
The ISSO shares an office suite with the Office of Multicultural Affairs, which is located in Stokes Hall, Room 111. The Office has regular work hours Mondays through Fridays. Walk in hours are on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Extended hours will be held during the academic year; those hours will be announced the second weeks of classes. Appointments are encouraged for all other times.
