- Goals and Aspirations of a Haverford Education—The institution-wide goals and aspirations for student learning were drafted by the faculty in 2009-2010.
- Departmental Learning Goals—The departmental student learning goals define particular skills, methodologies, foundational concepts, and habits of mind that will be mastered by students choosing to major in that discipline.
- Thesis Goals and Structure—The senior thesis serves as a primary and summative assessment of disciplinary mastery. This project requires students to apply the skills, methods, concepts, and habits of mind specific to their major field in the production of new knowledge, the original synthesis of existing knowledge, and/or creative artistic expression.
- The Tri-College Teagle Initiative—The ongoing Tri-College initiative supported by the Teagle Foundation has focused on sustainable and direct assessment of student learning at the departmental level.
