Employee Benefits: Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment is an annual process at Haverford College whereby benefits-eligible faculty, administrative/professional employees, and staff can make certain changes in their benefits. The open enrollment period begins on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, and continues through Friday, September 28, 2012. All benefit election decisions must be made by Friday, September 28, 2012, for the November 1, 2012, through October 31, 2013, plan year.
Sign-up for the flexible spending accounts for 2012-2013 - for both dependent and medical care reimbursement expenses - must be done during this open enrollment period.
Open enrollment is also a convenient time to make other benefits-related decisions not specifically tied to medical coverage—open a voluntary supplemental retirement account (SRA), e.g., or increase contributions to an existing account; begin or increase after-tax contributions to the Emeriti program; or open an account with the NBA Credit Union. Form must be completed by any employee who is changing to the Keystone POS or HMO which require the designation of a primary care physician or any employee who is changing from one Personal Choice plan (i.e., Buy-up to Base Plan) to another.
