STUDENTS WHO KNOW THEY ARE NOT RETURNING IN FALL 2008 ARE NOT ELIGIBLE to enter Room Draw. In keeping with the spirit of the Haverford College Honor Code, students who know they will not be returning in the Fall (e.g., you have been accepted by a program to study abroad) should NOT apply for housing nor enter Room Draw. |
|
STUDENTS WHO HAVE APPLIED TO STUDY AWAY OR ABROAD, but have not yet received word of their acceptance to the program, may participate in Room Draw. If a part of a group housing application, no more than 50% of any group’s members may fall under this category. If students leave the group to abroad, they must be replaced by students in the same class year as those students going abroad. A student who obtained housing, as part of this group housing, in the Spring Room Draw, and subsequently had study abroad/away plans confirmed and goes abroad/away for the fall semester, is allowed, by “Special Arrangement”, to move into the housing space chosen in Room Draw in the spring semester when s/he returns. A written “Special Arrangement” agreement must be submitted to the Housing Office by May 9th. |
|
If
a student wants campus housing, for Fall 2008,
but is unable to be present at any of the necessary
ROOM DRAW EVENTS due to being on a Study
Abroad, Domestic Study Away, or Exchange program;
being on Leave; having a sports or concert commitment;
or other reason, that STUDENT MUST
APPOINT A PROXY. |
|

Fifth year students are provided housing, if available, only after all other students on the Waiting List have been housed. |
