The Hurford Center for the Arts and Humanities’ Student Arts Fund helps students pursue creative interests that build upon, complement and go beyond the offerings of our formal curriculum.

Supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Tri-College Creative Residencies Program encourages Swarthmore, Haverford, and Bryn Mawr faculty to design and implement arts residencies in conjunction with their curricular and scholarly agendas.

In a unique student-faculty collaboration, Professor Carol Solomon and Janet Yoon ’10 co-curated Mapping Identity, an exhibition featuring internationally-recognized artists whose works deal with issues of transnational identity, and the effects of displacement, exile, hybridity cosmopolitanism and the state of the in-between.
