Haverford students are afforded a large amount of autonomy and may use this opportunity to craft the kinds of experiences they wish to have—and they are given the responsibility, the resources and the respect necessary for that to happen.

The Centennial Conference announced its academic honor roll for fall sports and 61 Haverford students made the list. Haverford had the most honorees among the 364 student-athletes recognized from the 11 Centennial schools.

Haverford students can choose from 31 majors, including Geology at Bryn Mawr College, thanks to our academic partnerships.

The Women’s Center is a safe, non-political space on campus that is open to both women and men providing support, resources and information to the community.

Peter Ferguson ’13, an astrophysics major, regulates the temperature of the WIYN 0.9-meter telescope with liquid nitrogen during a four-day field trip to Kitt Peak National Observatory.

In the academic context, the Honor Code engenders an immediate sense of trust and colleagueship between students and faculty and creates a relaxed, personal atmosphere.

The Fine Arts at Haverford emphasize the individual. Studio classes are small and all students—from beginners to declared majors—receive individual, focused instruction, and are encouraged to develop the physical and critical skills necessary to create art.

Magill Library houses more than half a million volumes and provides access to 2.5 million more through a catalog system that connects it to libraries at neighboring Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore Colleges.

The Tri-College Environmental Studies Program offers students across the three campuses an interdisciplinary approach to some of the crucial issues of our time.
