Ways to Give: Endowed Scholarships
Endowed scholarships provide donors the opportunity to establish a timeless fund that directly supports Haverford students with financial need.
What is the Cost?
Currently, 41% of Haverford students receive scholarship grants from the College. Without this aid, Haverford would not be an option. Financial aid accounts for just 17% of the College's total endowment, which means the school must rely heavily on tuition revenue and private donations to balance its budget every year.
You Make the Difference
You have the power to create an endowed scholarship at Haverford. Permanent, endowed scholarship funds mean a Haverford education is accessible to deserving, qualified students regardless of financial need. It also means the annual budget is less dependent upon tuition dollars, which helps keep costs down and the school competitive. Lastly, it means the College is able to put more funds into other necessary programs such as enhanced academic, athletic and arts programs, faculty salaries, and infrastructure improvements.
