Volunteering: Key Committees
Haverford has a number of volunteer committees comprised of dynamic leaders who strive to advance the interests of the College. Several were created during the successful “Educating to Lead, Educating to Serve” campaign, and are still active and engaged.
Alumni Association Executive Committee
The Executive Committee acts as the executive arm of the Alumni Association, and serves to advance the affairs of the Association between meetings of the Alumni Council, consult with the administration of the College and its Board of Managers, make recommendations to the Alumni Council, and formulate and implement programs to assist the College in carrying out its purposes.
Board of Managers
The Board of Managers, which consists of 32 persons, is responsible for selecting the President of the College and for establishing policies related to the governance, the course of study, and the management of the College's resources. The Board meets four times a year on campus.
Committee of 100
The Committee of 100 is a select group of leaders serving Haverford College, It is comprised of individuals who have personally committed gifts of six, seven or even eight figures to the “Educating to Lead, Educating to Serve” Campaign. Committee members, through their expertise, generosity and example, allow the College to offer even more comprehensive and exciting opportunities for students to learn.
National Gifts Program Committee
The National Gifts Program was the name given during the “Educating to Lead, Educating to Serve” Campaign to the segmented effort made by the College to target individual donors who had the capability to contribute to Haverford gifts and/or multi-year pledges of $25,000 - $99,999. The National Gifts Program sought to provide a unique level of recognition and served as a valuable base of support for the goals and initiatives of Haverford College during the campaign. All gifts or pledges totaling $25,000 - $99,999 made to Haverford from July 1, 1997 to June 30, 2004 have been acknowledged as part of the National Gifts Program.
An integral part of the National Gifts Program is the national volunteer organization known as the National Gifts Program Committee. Committee members, through their financial commitments and generosity of time and expertise, allow the College to offer even more comprehensive and exciting opportunities for students to learn.
