Words of Gratitude
Thank you! Haverford's Annual Fund had another successful year. The Annual Fund Executive Committee is extremely excited about the number of alumni who believe Haverford is a worthwhile cause for celebrating excellence in higher education.
Specifically, we are extremely thankful to our young alumni. In 2009-2010, 37% of graduates of the last decade gave to the Annual Fund, contributing $89,390! There were 226 first-time young alumni donors last year, including 108 members of the Class of 2009. Gifts of $100 or less from recent graduates amounted to $32,562 in support of the Fund. We hope to build on this success and continue to engage the College's young alumni as we strive to grow the size and impact of the Fund.
We look forward to another successful year in 2010-2011. While fundraising remains challenging during trying economic times, it is great to know there is such a dedicated group of alumni who realize what a special place the College is and who are so committed to the community. With this support it is certain Haverford College will remain a unique place that promotes social justice and a love of learning.
On behalf of the College and the Young Alumni Annual Fund Executive Committee, I appreciate your generosity and continued dedication to Haverford. The entire community remains grateful for your support.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Debrich '05
