Report of Gifts 2010: Thank You!

At Haverford we collaborate to change the world for the better. Our strong sense of community forms the foundation for cooperation that Fords experience in the classroom, on the playing field, on stage and in life. Haverford is a community of scholars whose best work is done in collaboration with others, for the benefit of all. Whether they are current undergraduates or alumni who received their diplomas decades ago, Haverfordians know that partnerships bridge difference, enable discovery, and facilitate positive change.
It is in that spirit of partnership that over 7,000 donors came together to raise $4,551,355 for Haverford's unrestricted Annual Fund and over $11 million for all purposes in 2009-2010.
Nearly 2,000 of these donors have supported the Annual Fund for ten or more consecutive years, and more than 800 are members of The 1833 Society. From large gifts to small (but mighty – we raised over $100,000 from gifts of $50 or less) the sum total was far reaching and touched every aspect of the College, perpetuating Haverford's intellectually rich academic opportunities, supporting and nurturing student self-governance and the Honor Code that informs it, providing essential financial aid, and sustaining our campus.
Your investment in the College played a critical role in the collaborative effort of alumni, parents and friends to keep Haverford thriving. I am very grateful for your thoughtfulness and commitment.
Thank you so much.
