The Relentless Eye: Global Cell Phone Photography consists of images made from cell phone cameras organized by the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, Vermont.

The Center's Executive Director is Alumnus Nathan Suter' 95; Odin Cathcart curated the exhibition and his interest in digital media lead him to solicit entrees from around the world by using social networks such as Facebook and Craig's List. This approach brought in 1,500 entrees from cell phone users worldwide. Eirik Johnson, a faculty member at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, whittled these entrees down to 135. In addition, five established fine art photographers using this format were chosen. The work submitted by digital files was down loaded and printed at the Center's media lab. The professional and amateur photographs when viewed individually and as a group prove that this new format has the expressive range of traditional photography and more.
