Tuition & Fees
Haverford's 2013-2014 fees are shown at right. To these direct charges by the College, you must add your personal expenses for books and supplies, clothing, laundry and recreation. The actual amount will, of course, vary from student to student; to prepare financial aid packages we make a standard allowance of $2,662. In addition, new students must add a $210 Orientation Fee making the yearly budget $62,108.
For students living outside of a 300-mile radius of the College, we normally some travel expenses to the budget. No allowance is made for travel from a foreign country. Here is an illustration of some of the amounts used to prepare financial aid packages: Maine-$385, Illinois-$495, Florida-$400, Texas-$540, California-$750. This increases your eligibility for Haverford College grants. All financial aid is used by the Haverford College Business Office to pay for the expenses that Office includes on the bill and not as a refund to you.
The information on this and the following pages pertains to those students attending full-time and seeking a BA/BS degree. Additional information is available on how the Business Office handles student accounts and the payment of College bills.
