I hope you'll celebrate Family & Friends Weekend here at Haverford College, Friday through Sunday, October 25- 27, 2013. Events are planned for all three days, but you should feel free to attend all or any part of the weekend activities. It's a great way to learn more about the College community while spending time with friends.

The program schedule is online. In addition to classes, there will be info sessions about the many exciting programs that make Haverford special. You're also invited to join the extended Haverford family for my inauguration as 14th president on Saturday, October 26. Several special events are planned throughout the weekend to mark the occasion, including an interdisciplinary panel entitled "Art and Culture in the Middle Ages," which complements the special exhibition "Lasting Impressions: Monumental Brass Rubbings," stemming from my own area of scholarship in art history. There'll be a community luncheon, expanded musical concerts, and two panels featuring professors from the natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities discussing how they incorporate students into research... literally, something for everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to browse the schedule. I look forward to welcoming you to campus for this very special weekend.
