Sidney Waldman
Professor of Political Science
Biography
Sidney Waldman teaches courses in American Politics, the Presidency, Congress, and Public Policy Analysis. He has written several books including: America and the Limits of the Politics of Selfishness; The Foundations of Political Action: An Exchange Theory of Politics; and Congress and Democracy as well as articles. He has wide ranging interests including applications of psychology, economics, history, and especially ethics to the study of politics.

Research
Waldman has written on applications of learning theory and social psychology to politics. He has also written on Congress, the presidency, public policy, and the public. Most recently he has been focusing on the relationship of ethics and politics and what it means for the study of politics.
