Biography
I grew up in Mexico City and Los Angeles. Before Haverford I was at the University of Pennsylvania and the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico. When I am not teaching or doing research, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our children Camila and Mateo -- feeding the ducks, reading or watching a good movie. Physics and astronomy are my passions and you are always welcome to stop by my office and discuss anything -- even if you are not in any of my classes! Visit my new Astro Lunch website!

Research
My research focuses on galaxy formation, supermassive black holes, quasars, reionization, and the assembly of dark matter haloes.
