Legends of Arthur

Graded Assignments:

• Bibliography assignment (2-4 pages). This will be assigned on the first day of classes and due January 28(10%).
• 1 4-6 page paper on a medieval text due March 18(20%).
• 1 4-6 page paper on a contemporary retelling (novel, film, etc.) of the Arthurian legend due April 15(20%).
• Final essay examination covering all the material on the course (30%).

Factors in Participation Grade (20%):

• 2 brief (1 pg or 3-4 pgphs) response papers posted to the class WebForum, according to a schedule to be determined in the first week of classes; regular responses to the posts of others.
• Regular attendance and engaged participation in classroom discussion.
• Participation in the Arthurian Film Festival (viewings and discussions).
