Engineering
Many of our graduates have pursued successful and interesting careers in various engineering disciplines. For those seeking a formal program, our partnerships with the University of Pennsylvania and Caltech offer robust — and unique — opportunities.

4+1 program with the University of Pennsylvania
In this exciting new program, you will study for four years at Haverford, then one year at Penn. You receive a Bachelor's of Science from Haverford and a Master's in Engineering from Penn. Haverford is the first liberal arts college in the world to enter into such an agreement with an Ivy League engineering program.

3/2 engineering program with CalTech
In this program, you will study for three years at Haverford, then two years at CalTech. You receive a Bachelor's of Science from Haverford and a Bachelor's in Engineering from CalTech.

Master's Degree after Study at Haverford
For many students interested in engineering, the best option is to spend the full four years at Haverford, taking two or three engineering courses through our course exchange agreements with Swarthmore and the University of Pennsylvania, then to apply for a Master's or Ph.D. program elsewhere.
