Submit a Proposal
The Distinguished Visitors Program provides support to bring distinguished statesmen, scientists, artists and other scholars to the Haverford community. Members of the Haverford Faculty wishing to host such a guest are invited to submit the following short application form to the Distinguished Visitors Committee for consideration.
The Distinguished Visitors Program seeks to support a diverse portfolio of visitors to the College each year. This requires balancing requests for individual visitors with thematic symposia, short-term scholarships in residence and workshops. Special value is seen in visits that build interdepartmental, interdisciplinary, or Bi-college interests, particularly where they involve an existing Area of Concentration. In addition, informal opportunities for interactions between visitors and student contact are desirable.
Hosts should consult with other members of their Department (in particular their Departmental chair) before submitting a proposal to coordinate the number and variety of guests that each Department seeks to invite in a given year.
Questions regarding the application process, as well as the status of a submitted application, may be directed to Susan Penn.
Thank you,
