Links: Volunteering / Clinical Experience
It is very important for pre-health students to gain experience in clinical settings in order to familiarize themselves with health care issues and to demonstrate a commitment to health care related activities.
In addition to the resources listed below, the Pre-health Office has further listings of local, national, international, and post-graduate volunteer opportunities in a binder in the Pre-Health Office.
- If you are specifically interested in volunteering in a local hospital, be sure to check out Haverford in Hospitals through the Pre-Health Society. Contact Michele Buonora (mbuonora@haverford.edu) or Shelly Mintz (mmintz@haverford.edu) for more information.
- See the Haverford College Pre-health Office's list of service organizations for international opportunities.
- Bryn Mawr College's Health Professions Office has assembled excellent listings of local volunteer opportunities and international volunteer opportunities in these areas.
