Student Groups

The Committee on International Initiatives (CII):CII is a committee consisting of students, faculty, administration and staff, that works towards preparing Haverford students for the globalized world, which increasingly demands a working knowledge of international issues and the ability to adapt and thrive in different cultural settings. We create and execute initiatives that aim to encourage, support, and prepare students to work in the international workplace, be it in the U.S. or abroad, by keeping Haverford College abreast of international trends at other institutions of higher education.

International Students Association: ISA aims to provide a support system for international students at Haverford College, and helps ease their transition to life at Haverford and in the US. We also plan the International Students' Orientation along with the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Women in Science - The Women in Science organization was established in spring of 2008 by two female science majors who wanted to foster an environment that would help women thrive in the sciences. Seeing women under-represented in certain majors, these students hoped that a more supportive setting would help to attract and retain female underclass students in the fields of astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, and physics. If you are interested in this group and would like further information, please contact egreen@haverford.edu and/or apancoa@haverford.edu. Their website will be coming soon!
