Haverford College
OMA

Welcome to OMA!

The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) sustains and carries out Haverford College’s commitment to diversity by supporting student programs, faculty initiatives, and curricular innovations that cultivate a vibrant and multifaceted intellectual community.

Through a variety of student internships as well as through programs such as the Tri-College Multicultural Leadership Institute, the Multicultural Scholars Program, the Ambassadors for Multicultural Awareness, the Sophomore Conversation Series, and the Rufus Jones Leadership Institute, the OMA seeks to work with all those on, and beyond, the Haverford campus who are committed to the collaborative work of building a generative and diverse community.

The OMA offers grants of up to $300 in start-up funds for initiatives and ideas that foster cultural transformation on campus, so if you're interested in starting a film series, working to create ties with a community organization in Ardmore or Philly or Manila, thinking about planning a workshop or bringing a speaker or artist to campus or want to cook up something else entirely check out th funding application. Fall 2012 deadlines for grant applications are September 24 and October 22.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is located in Stokes Hall, Room 111. Our phone number is (610) 896-2905 and our fax number is (610) 896-1224.
