Photo Gallery: MLK Week 2011
In the week of January 17th, 2011, we celebrated Haverford College’s Annual Martin Luther King Week, a week dedicated to honoring Dr. King’s legacy and promoting dialogue about civil rights. This year’s theme was MLK In the Age of Obama. What is Dr. King’s relevance today? Are we truly in a post-racial society? How do issues of race, diversity, multiculturalism, and civil rights play out in our nation with our new President Obama? What about on Haverford’s campus?

On MLK Day, Lucius Turner Outlaw (Jr.), a leading scholar of African American philosophy, came and spoke to a packed auditorium. JONATHAN YU / Bi-Co News
