Supplemental Readings

In order to gain a deeper knowledge of Roman Comedy, you will read in English several plays by Menander, Plautus, Terence, and Shakespeare in addition to the two plays we will read in Latin. The first and last such plays we will read (Aulularia, 9/19 and Comedy of Errors, 12/14) will be discussed in detail during class. You should be prepared to discuss the others in somewhat less detail by the date given in the weekly pensa.
