Faculty and students in our department maintain blogs to inform us about their on-going activities, both in the classroom and beyond it.
The lab currently consists of Sarah Choyke ‘10, Casper Hu ‘10, Ori Chegwidden ‘11 and Prof. Helen White. The overarching theme of our research is to investigate how organic compounds (natural and man-made) persist in the environment and move between different reservoirs (atmosphere, terrestrial, marine).
Check out blogs from chemistry majors from the past as they traveled abroad.
Adam Subhas ‘09, a chemistry/biochemistry student and Ben Pyenson ‘09, a Biology major and Geology minor are participating in separate REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) programs at USC in L.A. for the summer.
Adam Subhas '09 is a senior chemistry major with strong interests in environmental chemistry, and more specifically, applications of environmental chemistry to climate change. This winter break, he will be participating in a research cruise with Caltech professor Jess Adkins '90!
