TEACHING FELLOW (FALL 2013) and ORGANIC CHEMISTRY (SPRING 2014)

The Chemistry Department (http://www.haverford.edu/chemistry/) seeks to fill two part-time positions for 2013-2014.

Fall Semester 2013: We seek a postdoctoral teaching fellow to co-teach an advanced instructional lab class. The candidate would work alongside an experienced faculty member on lab rotation projects, ranging from organic synthesis to physical chemistry, with a final independent project designed by students. The position includes the supervision of labs two afternoons per week, designing problem sets, ordering chemicals and grading lab reports. The candidate must have a strong and broad foundation in chemistry and a commitment to teaching undergraduate students the techniques of chemical research.

Spring Semester 2014: We seek a Visiting (open-rank) Professor to teach second semester Organic Chemistry. The position includes three lectures plus three recitations per week. The candidate must have teaching experience and expertise in organic chemistry.
