Animations comparing wave behavior of photon and travelling electron (travelling in a two-dimensional world). These animated gifs were taken from Phil Fraundorf's web site (http://newton.umsl.edu/~philf/), but I slowed them down (using the program GifBuilder) to make them easier for my (slow) mind to comprehend. Notice the difference between the way an electron wave packet and a photon wave packet move.
