Tutorial Overview

 

The aim of this Tutorial is to provide a step-by-step guide for data analysis using the program EXAFS123. Data provided in the Sample File will be used exclusively. If you have not downloaded the Data File already, please do so now.

 

Basics

 

Every effort has been made to keep the instructions as brief as possible. For users willing to explore the concepts more, there are links to pages explaining the relevant scientific theories. Users interested in learning just to use the program may simply ignore such links.

 

Most of the instructions are accompanied by screenshots. Simply place the mouse pointer over regions marked in red to zoom in. This feature is used to avoid big screenshots and yet enable you to locate the region in the big window. In some places, green text is used. Place the mouse pointer over the green text and the region will be marked in the accompanying screenshot.

 

Navigation

 

The left and right arrows take you to the previous and next topics. The Navigator bar on the left has a list of topics which are displayed on this part of the browser. First time users should follow the sequence in which the topics are presented.
