1. WELCOME BACK SENIORS!
The Career Development Office (CDO) is located at BMC in the Campus Center,
2nd Floor, and at HC in Stokes 300. We are here to assist you as
you develop your plans for after graduation, whether it be grad school or a
full time job. Be sure to check the OCEAN calendar for up to date
information on CDO happenings. We look forward to working with you!

2. SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS

* SENIOR START- UP - ORIENTATION to CDO for SENIORS
Wednesday, September 9, HC, Stokes Auditorium, 6:30pm
Thursday September 10, BMC, Thomas 110, 6:30pm
Overview of CDO services for seniors, how to plan for a successful
job/graduate school search, and ways in which CDO can assist you in
connecting with post-graduate opportunities.

* ONLINE RECRUITING TUTORIAL: REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION IN RECRUITING PROGRAM
This online tutorial provides seniors with the foundation for a
successful experience in the recruiting program. The fundamentals of
a job search are reviewed, and training provided for use of CDO's
"OCEAN" (Online Career Exploration And Networking) web based system.
While all seniors may "Browse" OCEAN, training is REQUIRED to use the
system to submit applications, and eventually, schedule on and off
campus interviews.

ALL SENIORS wishing to participate in the Recruiting Program,
including On Campus Interviews, Resume Referrals, City-Based
Recruiting Days, and the Coast To Coast Virtual Fair in the Spring
Semester, are required to complete one during their senior year.

* CASE INTERVIEW WORKSHOP

Learn what to expect and how to master case interviews , which are
common in the field of consulting. Brandon Larson HC '08 of
Novantas will prepare BMC and HC students for successful case
interviews. All are welcome!

* THE X FACTOR: WOMEN IN A MAN'S WORLD
Panel dedicated to recognition and appreciation of women
professionals who have been successful in male-dominated fields.
Panelists include: Julie Beckman '95 Partner/Architect, KBAS;
Victoria Guerra Brady '79 Director of Engineering Technology, DuPont Co.
